Numa POS is a point-of-sale app for small vendors. This policy explains what data the app handles and why.
The short version
- Your business data (products, sales, inventory) lives on your device. There is no account system and we do not upload your transactions.
- To produce statistical Insights, the app sends only anonymous, pre-aggregated daily totals — never individual transactions, customer data, or anything that identifies you or a buyer.
- The app is free and supported by ads shown before you run an analysis.
What’s stored on your device
Products, categories, sales, payments, refunds, inventory, and your settings (store name, currency, timezone, paired printer) are stored locally in the app’s private database. This data stays on your device unless you back it up yourself.
What leaves your device, and when
Statistical Insights (only when you tap “Generate”). The app sends a pre-aggregated series to our analytics provider:
- daily revenue totals (one number per day),
- the dates those totals fall on,
- per-product daily revenue totals (product names + numbers).
It does not send individual sales, prices of specific transactions, payment details, or any customer information. On first use the app creates a random install identifier so the analytics service can rate-limit requests; it is not tied to your identity.
Ads. The app shows a short ad before each analysis to keep it free. Ads are served by Google AdMob, which may collect device and advertising identifiers as described in Google’s policy. You can reset or limit your advertising ID in your device settings.
What we do not collect
No name, email, account, phone number, location, contacts, or customer personal data. The app requests Camera only for barcode scanning and Bluetooth only to connect to a receipt printer — neither is used to collect personal data.
Data retention & deletion
On-device data remains until you delete it (clear the app’s data or uninstall the app). The aggregated numbers sent for an analysis are processed to compute your insights and are not used to build a profile of you.
Children
Numa is intended for business use and is not directed at children.
Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date.
